In 2003 thanks to my son & Dizzee Rascal I first came to know and love the music that came to be known as Grime, from 2004 I sought out and bought every grime vinyl I could afford to buy many of them unreleased white label promos.

I felt privileged to have heard this powerful, dynamic, passionate, humorous music that seemed above all else "to keep" it real.

I believe that Grime like Jazz, is an important musical evolution and will change the course of history. Skepta winning the mercury award, and Stormzy guesting with Ice Cube and Kevin Hart on USA TV 2016, feels like validation of my beliefs.

I fell in love with Grime, and I stayed with it through its wilderness years, when many said it was dead or dying, but it never died thanks to frontline Grime soldiers like Newham Generals, Spooky Bizzle, Sir Spyro, Jammer, J Sweet, Alias, Mak 10, Logan Sama, Nasty FM, Teddy, DJ Big Mikee, Elijah, Skilliam, Jack Mathews & Knowledge Is Power Gang, Natzta of Black Ops & Sublow Movement and others who held the fort and kept the pulse of Grime beating....

In 2003 I first heard Grime

thanks to my son (in the same school year as P Money), he was bringing back home burnt CD's with Essentials, D Double E, Mak10, Roll Deep, by 2004 I was collecting Grime vinyl, and became obsessed with Grime music. My first ever rave was Spiral Tribe party in Carnegie Library Deptford in 1991, it was something of a divine experience for me and changed my life, it was there that my love of underground dance music and the underground party scene began, and which lead me to eventually borrow some decks buy some vinyl and start mixing Drum and Bass years later.

Unsound Sound System gave me my first opportunity to play out ever, Big Up Robby & Lee I loved their parties. I also started playing out at Amorphous nights in Goldsmiths Tavern SE14, love and thanks to Bevin and DJ Simple aka Dirch Blewn for ongoing support. Love out to Siren Sound System who are my raving family as are Reknaw and Dissident Island Radio and Section Six crew.

My early radio experiences were with pirate radio Hyper FM big up Gary & Phantom D & the lads, it was a lot of fun and also to Wireless FM internet radio especial thank you to Bison, and love also to all the other presenters/djs of weird and wonderful shows who remain friends to this day. Thank to Hamster for technical support and this crazy video of him playing Die U Rat F*ck video game to one of my Grime vinyl mixes on Wireless FM.

In the early days Grime wasn't popular in most places I was playing, and a lot of the sound systems wouldn't let me play Grime, only D&B or Breakbeats, So was a real boost when Myng of Global Vortex Radio (USA) offered me a slot to showcase Grime to American & international audiences. Big Ups Natzta and Jon E Cash Black Op's, Nat and me used to chat a lot on the internet as we both loved similar music, I introduced him to Myng and we ended up presenting "The Sublow Movement" show on alternative weeks,

My production "The Roarrr" (experimental) was released on the Global Vortex Label..

I don't think I could have stopped playing Grime, it was like an addiction, and even if only one other person loves what you do you keep playing. I kept trying to showcase grime to people like me who weren't from East London who weren't 'in" the scene, trying to "convert" people to Grime lol hence the name I came up with for my show on Resonance FM many years later.

Ive been lucky to play some amazing parties, festivals and clubs all over the world & made some friends for life through
